Dear Friends and Colleagues

A very warm welcome to the Anaesthesia Patient Safety Symposium (APSS) combined with Regional Obesity & Bariatric Anaesthesia Conference (ROBAC) 2025!

This highly anticipated conference is jointly organised by the Malaysia Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Neurocritical Care (MSNACC), Persatuan Kakitangan Anestesiologi Hospital Umum Sarawak (PEKA-HUS), Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF), American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), International Society for the Perioperative Care of Patients with Obesity (ISPCOP), Society for Obesity and Bariatric Anaesthesia (SOBA), UK, Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) and the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists.

A combined meeting addressing important issues that anaesthesiologists face demonstrates true collaboration and will cater to a wide range of participants with different scopes of practice. Safety remains the cornerstone of our anaesthetic practice and this conference will highlight the strides that have been made in this area. The highlights of the meeting include plenary lectures and themed symposia. Our panel of international and local speakers shall inspire us through active discussions and workshops that allow for “hands-on” experiential learning.

The conference will be held at the beautiful Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching, Sarawak and participants will have ample opportunities for invigorating and rigorous academic discussions. Participants will be enthralled with all that this enchanting city offers admist the lasting friendships and collaborations that will be forged.
